Happy holidays since 1933.
2018 marks a very special birthday for us at Golden Sands – we are 85 years young! WOW right‽ Yes we’ve been around for a fair while, though you’d never think so when you come to stay with us.
The park was launched and managed by one family till 2008 when the reigns were then handed over to another very experienced family to continue in its development and growth of providing wonderful holidays to all who come to stay. We remain privately owned with the objective of our guests having he happiest of holidays.
We do this by listing to regular feedback, annually investing in the park facilities, training of the team members and bringing the latest in comfort and entertainment, which in turn means we continue to have guests return time and time again. In fact we have grandparents come to stay who used to visit when they were little and now bring their grandchildren!
We’re proud of our history, proud of the long standing team we have here repeatedly welcoming new and old(er) guests back. But whether you have been a guest at Golden Sands for 100 times or never before, you can be guaranteed of a warm welcome, which we hope we can continue to provide for another 85+ years.
For off-park exploring, here are some of our favourite local attractions:
Zip World Penrhyn Quarry – the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe! Not for the faint hearted but exhilarating!
Tir Prince Market/Racecourse – has races on through the peak periods as well as car boot sales and markets. Always a bargain to be had.
Bodelwyddan Castle – a great family day out. Step back in time. If you’re around on one of their open days, be sure to visit, it’s fascinating! Ask for special offers.
Llandudno – a wonderful Victorian seaside town with masses of history. Visit the museum or simply enjoy the Punch & Judy shows and donkey rides before hitting the shops and cafes.
Rhyl Miniature Railway – the little ones will love this. Get your ticket from the old station platform and learn all the history whilst waiting to board your train which takes you all round the lake.
Snowdonia – simply beautiful! If you’re a walker or biker, make time to come out to this area – so tranquil and amazing! You may even get the bug and sign yourself up to a three-peaks challenge!
