Rosie has been working at Golden Sands Holiday Park for 18 months and is a member of our Entertainment Team ‘The Goldstars’.

We sat down with Rosie for a coffee and a chat to find out about how she became a Goldstar at Golden Sands. Here’s her story…

How did you become an Entertainer?

I studied musical theatre in college and have always wanted to perform. When the opportunity became available to be on stage I grabbed it with both hands and applied for jobs at holiday parks. It’s a job I have always wanted to do.

What experience have you had before?

I worked abroad in Spain as part of the team on a holiday resort, I have also worked for P&O Cruises and Butlins as a red coat.

Do you get nervous?

Yes, I get quite nervous before I go on stage but once I am there and see everyone, the nerves disappear and I feel fine.

What is the best bit of your job?

The best part of my job is making people happy and ensuring that everyone enjoys themselves and has a happy holiday.

What is your favourite act/activity that we have at Golden Sands?

My favourite activity that we do has to be the teddy bears picnic. I love seeing all the children bring their different teddies and the enjoyment on their faces. My favourite act that comes to Golden Sands Holiday Park has to be Ryan Ireland, he is just fantastic.

What is your favourite hobby?

I enjoy going to the cinema and I also like going to theatre shows. I like all types of films but my favourites have to be the Disney ones.

I enjoy my job at Golden Sands as every day is different. I love meeting new people and making sure that they have the most amazing time while on holiday here at Golden Sands.
