Welcome to Golden Sands Holiday Park. Our family-friendly, award-winning holiday park is located right on the beach in North Wales and has been providing wonderful holidays for 86 years. Furthermore, we are privately owned and are focused on ensuring that our guests have the happiest of holidays here at Golden Sands, Rhyl.
Over the years, we have invested millions in improving our facilities and accommodation so that we can maintain our reputation as the best holiday park in the local area. Our latest achievement was winning the prestigious Hoseasons Diamond Award 2018, which recognises exceptional quality and outstanding customer service – something we are incredibly proud of! In addition, we were also awarded the ‘Best Bar None Award‘ for Best Leisure Venue, a Gold Award for an accredited venue and were overall runner-up for the best venue by Conwy County Council.

Has races on through the peak periods as well as car boot sales and markets. Always a bargain to be had.
A wonderful Victorian seaside town with masses of history. Visit the museum or simply enjoy the Punch & Judy shows and donkey rides before hitting the shops and cafes.
The little ones will love this. Get your ticket from the old station platform and learn all the history whilst waiting to board your train which takes you all round the lake.
Simply beautiful! If you’re a walker or biker, make time to come out to this area – so tranquil and amazing! You may even get the bug and sign yourself up to a three-peaks challenge!

Is WiFi available at the Park?
Yes. WiFi is available FREE of charge in the entertainment complex. To access WiFi in your accommodation the following charges apply:
- 1 day – £6
- 3 days – £15
- 4 days – £20
- 1 week – £25
- 1 month – £50
The above charges are for direct to van access, which will allow up to 8 devices per unit of accommodation.
How do I check prices and availability?
Can I order a brochure for Golden Sands Holiday Park?
Do I have to pay a deposit?
To secure the dates and accommodation you want we ask for a £40 deposit.
When does the final balance have to be paid?
A minimum of 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival at Golden Sands Holiday Park, though you can pay in installments by calling through to the reception team on 01745 343606 option 2 with your booking reference number.
Do you have 24hr security?
Yes. We have 24-hr security at Golden Sands Holiday Park, Rhyl, 12 months of the year. We take the safety of our guests and Owners as paramount.

What are the reception opening times?
In general we are open from 9am – 5pm. During August this is extended to 6pm. We close the office on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
What if I arrive at Golden Sands Holiday Park after the reception closes?
We will place your Welcome Pack and keys in the Sandpiper Bar where a member of the team will check you in.
What is the check-in time?
Check-in time varies depending on the grade you have booked. They are:
- 14.00 – Lodges
- 15.00 – Platinum
- 15.00 – Gold
- 16.00 – Chalet
- 16.00 – Silver
- 16.00 – Bronze
A 2.00 pm early check-in is available for all grades of accommodation (excluding Platinum) at an additional cost of £25. Please book in advance of your arrival.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
If you need to cancel your booking at Golden Sands Holiday Park we can only offer refunds dependent on the length of time prior to your arrival. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance at the time of booking to cover any costs. We can advise you of further details so please get in touch.
Who do I direct my feedback to?
Do you accept pets?
Unfortunately, we do not permit pets at the park if you are a holidaymaker. You may see dogs around the park though as we allow Owners to have dogs registered as part of their licence. Any holidaymaker bringing pets onto the park will be asked to leave (even if you have booked through a private Owner).

Can I pay my balance online?
No sorry, currently we do not have this facility available. All outstanding balances can be paid for over the phone calling 01745 343606 option 2 or by post with a cheque payable to Golden Sands Holiday Camp.
Is linen included in the price?
If you have booked with us directly by phone or online, through Hoseasons or Breakfree Holidays your linen is automatically included in the price. Otherwise, linen is available to hire at an additional cost.

Do you have a launderette at Golden Sands Holiday Park?
Yes, we do.
Do you provide towels?
Only within our platinum and lodge accommodation – where it is included in the price. You can hire towels though, please contact reception on 01745 343606 option 2.
Do you have an iron and ironing board to hire?
Yes we do, subject to availability. Please ask at reception when required.
Does the accommodation have DVD players?
No, although you can hire these from reception. Check availability upon check-in.
Do you have a local taxi firm you would recommend?
Can I get a taxi or bus from the train station to Golden Sands Holiday Park?
Yes there is a taxi rank at the train station as well as a bus station. You will need bus no. Sapphire12 operated by Arriva Wales. A taxi will cost approx. £6 from the train station to the Park (general rate – may differ dependent on bank holidays etc.).
Can I hire a travel cot or high chair?
Yes, we have these available to hire (subject to availability). Unfortunately, the travel cots do not fit into the bedrooms of the units and will need to be placed in the lounge area.
I need to hire a mobility scooter, can you recommend a local supplier?
