2018 marks a very special birthday at Golden Sands Holiday Park – hence we are 85 years young! So here’s a bit about how it all started…
The park was launched in 1933 and managed by one family until 2008 when the reigns were then handed over to another very experienced family to continue in its development and growth. That family is still here today, providing wonderful holidays at Golden Sands, Rhyl. Furthermore, we remain privately owned and are focused on ensuring that our guests having the happiest of holidays
Over these 85 years, Golden Sands Holiday Park has grown from providing solely camping facilities to offering caravan holidays in Wales, along with chalet and luxury lodge accommodation. We also offer caravans for sale in this beautiful North Wales location
We are very proud of our history and of the long-standing team, who will be sure to offer a warm welcome to all guests at one of the best Holiday Parks in Wales.

Showbar is closed with no entertainment during November, with the Sandpiper operating limited opening times over the weekend.

Our wonderful Goldstars manage all of the entertainment, from daytime fun days to bingo and our very own Goldstars production shows. There’s always a great variety of visiting acts and themed party nights at Golden Sands, Rhyl, so whatever you choose to watch whilst here – you’re sure to be entertained.

Our fantastic location at Golden Sands, Rhyl means you have access to the beach and wonderful local attractions whenever you choose. In addition to this, we also run a fun‑packed schedule of activities on the Park.
We have something for all ages and energy levels. Choose from:

A great family day out. Step back in time. If you’re around on one of their open days, be sure to visit, it’s fascinating! Ask for special offers.
A wonderful Victorian seaside town with masses of history. Visit the museum or simply enjoy the Punch & Judy shows and donkey rides before hitting the shops and cafes.
The little ones will love this. Get your ticket from the old station platform and learn all the history whilst waiting to board your train which takes you all round the lake.

To secure the dates and accommodation you want we ask for a £40 deposit.
A minimum of 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival at Golden Sands Holiday Park, though you can pay in instalments by calling through to the reception team on 01745 343606 option 2 with your booking reference number.
Yes. We have 24-hr security at Golden Sands, Rhyl, 12 months of the year. We take the safety of our guests and Owners as paramount.

In general we open 9am – 5pm. During August this is extended to 6pm. We close the office Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
We will place your Welcome Pack and keys in the Sandpiper Bar where a member of the team will check you in.
Check-in time varies depending on the grade you have booked. They are:
- 13.00 – Lodges
- 13.30 – Platinum
- 14.00 – Gold
- 14.30 – Chalet
- 15.00 – Silver
- 16.00 – Bronze
If you need to cancel your booking at Golden Sands Holiday Park we can only offer refunds dependent on the length of time prior to arrival. We recommend taking out a cancellation insurance at the time of booking to cover any costs. We can advise you of further details so please get in touch.
If you wish to feedback to us on your stay at Golden Sands Holiday Park, please direct your comments to the bookings team.
Unfortunately, we do not permit pets at the park if you are a holidaymaker. You may see dogs around the park though as we allow Owners to have dogs registered as part of their licence. Any holidaymaker bringing pets onto the park will be asked to leave (even if you have booked through a private Owner).

No sorry, currently we do not have this facility available. All outstanding balances can be paid for over the phone calling 01745 343606 option 2 or by post with a cheque payable to Golden Sands Holiday Camp.
If you have booked with us directly by phone or online, through Hoseasons or Breakfree Holidays your linen is automatically included in the price. Otherwise, linen is available to hire at an additional cost.

Yes we do, as well as a Park shop which sells the essentials, though there is another shop at the entrance of the Park and an Asda within a 15 min walk.
Only within our platinum and lodge accommodation – where it is included in the price. You can hire towels though, please contact reception on 01745 343606 option 2.

No, although you can hire these from reception. Check availability upon check-in.
Yes there is a taxi rank at the train station as well as a bus station. You will need bus no. Sapphire12 operated by Arriva Wales. A taxi will cost approx. £6 from the train station to the Park (general rate – may differ dependent on bank holidays etc.).
Yes we have these available to hire and are subject to availability. Unfortunately, the travel cots do not fit into the bedrooms of the units and will need to be placed in the lounge area.
