We were absolutely over the moon to announce yesterday (24th June) that we will be opening our doors once again at Golden Sands Holiday Park on the 13th July 2020.
We realise that many of you have lots of questions regarding what your holiday with us will look like and we are doing our best to work our way through this as quickly as possible. We hope you understand that some of these things take time to plan, but we will be doing everything we can to give you that holiday that you have been patiently waiting for.
Please note: Although this is very positive news, the Welsh Government have indicated that this date is subject to change at any time in accordance to the Welsh Minister’s daily updates regarding the COVID-19 developments. They have not as yet given any indication of when restaurants, bars and similar facilities will be able to open and we will continue to keep you up to date as more information is provided and apologise that some areas remain uncertain.
For the time being, here is what we can confirm:
Facilities that we are not permitted to open at this stage are the swimming pool, play park, arcade, soft play, pottery shop, park shop and launderette. We hope to be able to open these facilities as soon as the Government advise that it is safe to do so. We will keep our social media platforms updated with any changes that come into effect.
Facilities that we are permitted to provide include the re-opening of the chip shop, and an outside bar area with seating areas and light entertainment. We will be ensuring safe social distancing with these facilities.
We are also making available the use of outdoor seating and tables for grades of accommodation that don’t already have them. There is no charge for this, but a deposit of £10 per item is required and it will be refunded at the end of your stay providing all items are undamaged.
Offsite local supermarkets and food shops are all open and many visitor attractions in Wales will start to reopen from July onwards.
Checking-in to Golden Sands Holiday Park
We are currently reviewing the check-in process in order to prepare a new system that will adhere to social distancing guidelines with minimum disruption to arrivals. All holidaymakers who book at Golden Sands Holiday Park will be contacted prior to their arrival with details of this process.
Outstanding holiday balances
If you have already booked your holiday at Golden Sands, you need to ensure that you pay your holiday balance within the allotted time-frame. Payment reminders will be issued with a payment link to pay online. Those who fail to pay the balance by the stated deadline will receive a cancellation notice confirming that the holiday is cancelled unless prior arrangements have been made with the park.
Newspaper promotion holidays (Sun, Breakfree etc)
If you booked your holiday via a newspaper promotion, all entertainment passes at this stage will be removed until we are able to open up the facilities and anyone who has already paid for these will be refunded by Golden Sands during their stay at the park.
Ensuring a safe holiday
We would like to stress that you MUST AT ALL TIMES ensure you are adhering to health guidelines and social distancing rules. We must follow the policies set out by the Government and failure to do so could jeopardise your stay at Golden Sands Holiday Park.
The Golden Sands Booking Guarantee
We understand that this year has been like no other and you may need some assurance when it comes to booking your holiday.
